My time at Develop:Brighton 2024
Hi folks, it's been a few of weeks since I've returned from Develop:Brighton, and I thought I would share my experience of Frame-A-Game featuring at its first developer expo.
First and foremost
Develop:Brighton is a conference that runs across three days, and is the only event in the UK that brings the entire game-making industry together to network, share ideas and experiences and make exciting deals. The fun also continues with the Develop:Star Awards and after hours events and parties.
I was thrilled for Frame-A-Game to exhibit at the Expo on Wednesday 9 July and Thursday 10 July, as I wanted to share with attendees how they can showcase their hard work in a truly special way.
Now for the stand
I simply wanted the frames to do the talking, and as my business is a unique concept, I knew that my made-to-order designed frames on display would capture people's attention. So, I kept the graphics simple with two pull up banners to ensure the frames were the key focal point.
Well simplicity works! The amount of people who stopped by the stand complimenting my work, taking photos of frames I've produced for developers and saying how they wished my business had been around years ago when they were working on specific games.
During the event
I had the opportunity and pleasure to engage with a wide range of attendees. I talked with individuals who have worked on some of the most beloved games over the years, and past clients in-person. It was lovely to hear directly from them and their team's reaction when they received their frames.
I also spoke with potential clients who have games coming out later this year and in 2025. Talk about exciting times ahead!
As a gamer myself
My first developer conference was a truly enriching experience. Not only did it allow me the perfect platform to showcase my work with previous clients, engage with industry professionals and build valuable connections with developers. But by the end of the two days, I felt so inspired by the comments I've received that it has made me even more motivated to continue to grow Frame-A-Game within this market.
A massive thank you to everyone who stopped by the Frame-A-Game stand.
Until the next one. 🫡
