GTA 6 Lands 19 November: Your Launch Week Guide (and How to Give It Pride of Place)

Sixteen days. That's all that stands between us and Grand Theft Auto VI. After two delays, a mountain of trailers and more theories than we can count, Rockstar's return to Vice City is finally within touching distance. So here's everything you need to know for launch week, plus a few ideas for making your copy the centrepiece of your setup rather than another box on the shelf.

The key dates

Thursday 19 November 2026 is the big one. GTA 6 launches on PS5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S.

Thursday 12 November is the date to circle if you've pre-ordered. Digital pre-orders can start pre-loading from then, so you're ready to play the moment it unlocks. The boxed version also hits shelves on 12 November, a full week early, so you can get the download going too.

Friday 20 November is your cut-off for the Vintage Vice City Pack. Every copy bought or pre-ordered before then includes it, and digital pre-orders also come with a free month of GTA+.

What you can play it on

PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There's no PS4 or Xbox One version, and there's no PC version at launch either. Take-Two has confirmed that, and Rockstar hasn't announced a PC date yet. If you're still on last-gen hardware, this is the nudge.

What you're actually getting

GTA 6 is a single-player story set in Vice City and across the sun-soaked state of Leonida. You play as Jason and Lucia, a pair who've always known the deck is stacked against them, and who end up in the middle of a criminal conspiracy when an easy score goes wrong. French electronic duo Justice are composing the original score, which already sounds like a very Vice City decision to us.

In the US, the standard edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $99.99, with extra vehicles, weapons and apparel woven through the story. Check your preferred UK retailer or Rockstar's own store for local pricing.

A quick word on the box

We've talked about this before, so we'll keep it short. The physical edition of GTA 6 comes with a download code inside, not a disc. We'd still love a proper disc release one day. Until then, the box art is the physical piece you get to keep, and it's a cracking piece of art. It deserves better than a pile by the TV.

Frame your copy from day one

Our Grand Theft Auto VI ShowCase frame was made for exactly this moment. It displays the full cover art behind UV-protective glazing, with an optional engraved plaque, and our classic black mountboard gives it a clean, timeless finish.

Want those Vice City vibes on your wall? Go for our GTA VI Inspired By frame. Same ShowCase quality, but the case sits on our own printed background, a neon sunset with palm silhouettes that drops the game straight into Leonida. It's the one we'd hang.

Got your own copy on the way? Pick Use Your Own Game on either version. Prefer us to supply the game? Game supplied orders are fulfilled from 12 November, when the boxed copies land.

Every era, one wall

GTA 6 is the newest chapter in a story that's been running for more than two decades. If you've been with the series from the start, our Hexa frame brings six of the big ones together: GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV, GTA V and GTA VI. Liberty City to Leonida, side by side.

Going back to Vice City

There's something special about returning to Vice City more than twenty years after Tommy Vercetti first took it over. If the PS2 era is where it all clicked for you, our GTA Trilogy Trio frame holds the original discs and cases for GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas, the three games that changed open worlds forever.

Want just the one? The original Vice City looks brilliant on its own, too.

Final thoughts

This is one of the biggest launches gaming has ever seen, and you'll remember where you were when you first rolled into Leonida. Pre-load on the 12th, clear your diary for the 19th, and give the game a proper home on your wall. We'll see you in Vice City.
