Your discs are totally safe around magnets. They don’t affect the data at all, we just use them to make displaying and switching steelbooks quick and easy. Nothing to worry about, just clever design.

Are my games safe?
No need to worry about magnets messing with your games, DVDs, or Blu-rays. Unlike old-school floppy disks or hard drives that rely on magnetism, optical discs store data as tiny bumps and flat spots on the surface, which a laser reads. Because there’s no magnetism involved, waving even the strongest fridge magnet over your favourite film or album won’t do a thing. Your discs are safe, scratches and heat are the real culprits to watch out for, not magnets.
Do all steelbooks work with MagLevate Art?
MagLevate is compatible with most* standard Blu-ray steelbooks, our product is built to hold them perfectly in place. Thanks to extra-strong magnets, you can even keep all the contents inside while still enjoying that striking, levitating display.
*Steelbooks that do not have a spine will not work with this product.
How does my game levitate?
Your steelbooks aren’t just displayed, they appear to be floating effortlessly from the wall. We designed it this way on purpose, creating a clean, modern look that makes your collection stand out like a true work of art.
How do I stick MagLevate Art to the wall?
Every MagLevate Art comes with 3x pairs of genuine Command Strips (yep, the real deal – no knock-offs here). That means you can stick your MagLevate Art to the wall in seconds, and trust the power of Command to keep it firmly in place. Easy up, easy down, no fuss.
Worried about your disc or contents while your steelbook is open?
Don't worry, we include a plastic wallet for your disc and your manuals or other steelbook printed media. You can safely store these away whilst keeping your steelie on the wall this way.
How easy is it to change my steelbooks?
Swapping steelbooks takes just seconds – lift off the old one and click the new one into place (with that oh-so-satisfying magnetic snap!). And don’t forget, we’ve popped in a handy little spirit level so your new steelie sits perfectly straight.
What can I do to ensure installation is a breeze?
